A Dog’s Story provides you that getaway, where your dog is the focus and where the time you spend with him or her is the priority.
A Dog’s Story is on the out skirts of Jaipur, 12 kms short of Amber Fort, on the Delhi – Jaipur Highway. The address is Kacherawala, Kukas, Jaipur ( turn in from Sai Baba Temple and drive 5 kms). We are adjoining the Tree of Life Resort & Spa.
Depending on where you are in the NCR, it is a driving distance of between 220 and 240 kms – a convenient 4 hours at the maximum. There are also flights connecting Jaipur from various cities. We will be glad to arrange airport transfers at a supplement cost.
As per Law, all guests must submit a Photo ID with address ( Driving License, Adhar Card, Passport ). We would also need proof of age for children between 6 to 11 years travelling with you.
Our check in time is after 1300 hrs and check out time is by 1100 hrs.
Both our accommodations are strictly non-smoking. Ash trays are provided outdoors for smoking. A sanitization charge of Rs.2,000/ will be billed, should you smoke indoors.
We offer two sets of accommodation – The Duplex and The Classic. Please see the website for more specific details on each of them. Each can accommodate two adults plus one additional adult / child using the sofa-cum-bed. Our tariff includes charges for two adults and one pet, with supplements for additional person/s and pet.
Yes, we have adequate safe parking within our premises.
We do provide toiletries like shower gel, shampoo, soap and towels.
Yes, our accommodations are air conditioned. We have radiator heaters during winters. There is 24 hours power back up.
We offer free wi-fi connectivity. However, since we are in the Aravali range, the signals are not hi-speed. Your understanding is appreciated.
Our tariffs are inclusive of breakfast. You have the option of ordering your lunch, dinner and snacks from our In-Room Dining Menu. Meals are served either in your room or outdoors.
Our In-Room Dining Menu offers vegetarian and non-vegetarian North Indian options. Your Host will be as accommodating as possible in arranging something of your liking which is not in the menu.
Yes, you can do self-cooking in the fully equipped kitchen which comes with your accommodation. We do not have any staff for cooking. Your Host will be glad to buy your vegetables and all else that you need against direct payment. There will be a nominal charge of Rs.75/ per trip to cover fuel. However, they will be glad to clean up once you have cooked. Your kitchen is very well equipped with all that you would need to be self-sufficient – gas with two burners cook top; micro wave; fridge; toaster; cooking utensils; cutlery; crockery.
We do not serve alcohol. However, you can carry your own as per State Government regulations and consume it in your accommodation. We do not levy any corkage. Glasses, ice bucket etc are part of the kitchen equipment. Please do note that loud music is prohibited.
Our tariff includes charges for two adults and one pet. Each accommodation will take a maximum of two pets ( supplement cost for one pet applicable).
No, there are no additional charges for one pet per accommodation unless you order any meals while there.
It is always better to carry the pet food that your pet is accustomed to. We have a WAGS Menu which offers freshly prepared meals for your pet. We also have ready to eat meals. Both come at an additional charge. Sanitized water bowls are provided by us.
Yes, each accommodation comes with its private and gated outdoor lawn. In addition, we have amazing open spaces just outside the main gate which is wonderful for your pet.
As a courtesy to pets and parents who will stay after you, please take your pet outside the main gate, a little away from the accommodation, to relieve himself / herself at frequent intervals. Your private garden is NOT to be used for this. There will be an additional cleaning charge of Rs.2,000/ should this happen.
Each of the two sets of accommodations will have their own pets. However, both sets are gated. Once outside the main gate, you may come across one odd dog from the village – they are harmless.
The idea is to get away and spend quality time with your pet in open surroundings. You have your private lawn to play with him / her; go for walks in huge open space next door; let him frolic in the Sand-Pit; or then just relax in the calm and serene surroundings.
Yes, as long as he / she is left inside the accommodation. Your Host will gladly keep an eye on him / her during your absence. However, we do not take any responsibility for the behavior of your pet in your absence.
We are in safe and open surroundings – nothing better than long walks and strolls with your pet. While they can be left open, we recommend their being on a leash. We have two bicycles for you to take out into the open and get some fresh country side air to breathe. Our village folk lead a life which is simple and friendly. Your Hosts will be happy to arrange for a visit to a home next door or then to the village school. You may also want to visit the small temple in the village which goes back some 300 years.
Amber Fort is a convenient 20 minutes drive from A Dog’s Story. Take a trip to this historic monument of valor and Rajput pride. Jaipur is also famous for its shopping, in addition to its touristic sights – the Hawa Mahal, City Palace, The Observatory, Albert Hall and Museum. The city is a 35 minutes drive from A Dog’s Story.
